Synology RX418 1U 4 Bay Expansion Unit

The Synology RackStation RX418 4-Bay Diskless NAS Expansion Unit (RX418) allows you to expand the volume storage of your compatible Synology NAS.  The RackStation RX418 features hot-swappable drive trays that support the installation of up to a total of four 3.5"/2.5" SATA HDDs and 2.5" SATA SSDs, a single eSATA port for transferring data from an external drive, three 40mm x 40mm fans, and a 100W power supply unit.
 

Plug and Play

The RX418 is easy to deploy.  Just connect it to your Synology RS1219+, RS818(RP)+, RS816, RS815(RP)+, or RS815 and use DiskStation Manager to configure it for your intended use case.  The drive bays implement a tool-less design, allowing you to install drives quickly and without needing to power down and interrupt data availability for your workplace.
 

The Synology RackStation RX418 NAS lets you expand your existing NAS' storage capacity up to a maximum 56TB using four 14TB drives.  Use the RX418 RackStation to either backup files from your NAS or to provide more storage space for your growing data.
