03/09/2010 - DAS KEYBOARD REVIEWED
Agg from Overclockers.AU has just reviewed the Das Keyboard Professional. Hit the pic for the range.

"If you spend a lot of time typing at your PC, it's worth thinking about the quality of the chunk of metal and plastic you're typing on. People spend a fortune on fancy video cards and large hard drives etc, but the real hands-on interaction with your PC is via the keyboard and mouse. As a fairly proficient typist already, switching to the Das Keyboard hasn't increased my speed after a week - or perhaps I'm just set in my ways. But for typing up reams of text, like this very review you're reading, it's genuinely a much more pleasant experience on a professional-level mechanical keyboard than on the cheapies I've been used to. I won't go back!"
25/08/2010 - G.SKILL PHOENIX PRO REVIEW
The new SandForce-based SSD drives offer killer performance, even leaving the Indilinx drives in the dust. Normally such performance boosts come with a very hefty premium, but that's not happening for the most part, but especially with the G.Skill Phoenix Pro 120GB. We have a drive here that is crazy fast and a pretty darn good deal when you look at the competition; frankly, it's a standout. More at pureoverclock.com

11/08/2010 - UPGRADE YOUR NOTEBOOK'S STORAGE
Ever wanted to add a second 2.5inch drive to your notebook for more storage capacity? Have you been putting-off buying your notebook a super-fast SSD drive because of their small size? Now you can do it, without throwing away the old spinning disk, using our Notebook HDD Bay.

This inexpensive little tray can be swapped with the SATA optical drive in your notebook, and lets you have a second SSD or HDD on tap all the time. Ideal for dual-booting operating systems, or re-using a surplus drive for media storage or system backups. It fits most recent notebooks with SATA optical drives, and it's the work of a few seconds to swap out the optical drive for this tray. 2.5inch SATA drives just drop into place in the tray, allowing you to swap them out with ease.
05/08/2010 - 2-BAY GIGABIT NAS
We've just received stock of an inexpensive and decent quality NAS from Dotop. Stood on it's end, it actually cools HDDs better than most we've seen, due to it's 80mm fan, aluminium construction, and natural convection effect. Fitted with up to 2x 2Tb HDDs with RAID, you can put all your files on it for 24x7 availability to all the machines on your network. A TorrentFlux BT client is included, making it ideal for low-power downloads in the background, and iTunes server / uPNP capabilities make it a decent home media hub as well.

We've bundled it with a range SATA drives, where you'll save $15 or more over individual prices - Click the pic for the range
04/08/2010 - FILCO KEYBOARD REVIEW
Overclockers AU have reviewed one of our Filco Majestouch clicky keyboards today:

"The keyboard seems well made - the materials all feel of high quality (no nasty thin keycaps or labels scraped off). The keyboard also has a nice solid feel in general, it's well weighted, with a strong metal chassis and good quality casing - not at all flimsy like some cheaper keyboards. If you like a good clean key action along with tactile feedback, this is an easy keyboard to use for long periods of time."

03/08/2010 - XLINK MOBILE BLUETOOTH GATEWAY
Do you no longer have a landline? Have you decided that paying for a landline every month is no longer necessary? Does your mobile only work in one part of your house? Then you need the XLink BT to connect up to three different mobiles via Bluetooth to a single phone handset or cordless phone.

Your mobile can be left charging in a convenient location, and if your mobile rings - all the phones connected to the XLink ring, with each mobile having a distinctive ring pattern. Caller ID from the mobile caller is displayed on any ringing handsets with displays, and you can make outgoing calls via the mobile using the telephones connected to the XLink. Perfect to use with a multi-handset cordless phone system to get around any mobile-phone blackspots in your home!
03/08/2010 - G.SKILL PHOENIX PRO 60GB SSD
Thinkcomputers review the G.Skill Phoenix Pro 60Gb SSD - click the pic for our range.

"These new SandForce-based drives are really setting the standard for enthusiast solid state drives... As far as performance goes the Phoenix Pro did very well scoring 284MB/s read and 272MB/s write in ATTO Disk Benchmark, the highest score of all the SandForce-based drives we have tested. Keep in mind that the SF-1200 chip specifications are 260MB/s read and write. G.Skill has improved that by giving this drive speeds of 285MB/s read and 275MB/s write and the results were right on... Just like all other SandForce-based drives you get native TRIM garbage collection and SMART support."
30/07/2010 - LUXA2 H4 IPAD STAND
From iLounge.com: If we had to choose just one of these stands to recommend to all of our readers, it would be the H4 iPad Holder, due more to its overall combination of versatility, polish, and pricing than its looks. An iPad-matching aluminum base with a cable managing slot, and a rotating, pivoting cradle with expanding rubber-tipped metal arms that can hold a bare or encased iPad as firmly as you prefer.
