Prices
All prices shown on this website are in Australian Dollars, and are subject to change without notice, and include the GST as of 1/7/00. We are a Tax Registered Business (ABN 95 085 125 506) and will provide a tax invoice with all goods sold. The shopping cart will display the total (inc GST) price, and you may view the base (ex-GST) price by clicking any product code on the left-hand side. Your order-confirmation e-mail will also show the ex- & inc-GST total, and you will receive a Tax Invoice-compliant invoice from us with your delivery. Freight is included in our prices, however we reserve the right to add freight in unusual circumstances, such as extra large, heavy or difficult items, or shipping to remote areas from our location. Prices change from time to time; we do endeavour to be accurate, and we will contact you if a price has changed significantly from our published price when you place your order - please note that an order is an offer to purchase, and does not constitute a contract until it is fulfilled - E & OE. Please note that, due to the nature of the computer industry, prices on many components are always falling over time, and we can't credit or refund the difference for any price drop after we have sent out your order.
Delivery
Our published prices include insured delivery in Australia by post or courier at our discretion. Note that some bulky items are shipped free in Sydney Metro only - a small additional charge applies to ship these to other locations - see here for more info. We will pick the most appropriate freight service to get your order to you as quickly as possible. For orders placed in Sydney prior to Midday, we can usually promise next-business-day delivery for all stocked items, and around 2-3 days for those needing to be ordered in. Whilst our website does indicate (with the colour of the price) that a product is/isn't in stock, the sheer volume of products being invoiced daily may result in stock running out before the website updates the in-stock indicator. We recommend that you contact us to confirm availability of any product where you wish to personally collect it from our storefront, or you have an urgent need/time constraint on it's delivery to you. Interstate & country areas can expect a 2-3 day freight time. If you are not present at the address given for delivery, the couriers may have to redeliver at a later time, and may leave a card advising you of this: please give an address where you will be present during business hours! In the interest of getting your goods to you quickly, we may remove products from bulky retail packaging, in order to fit them into Express Satchels.
Warranty
If parts are purchased from us and there is a fault during the warranty period that is attributable to manufacturing defect, the parts are replaced or repaired for the original purchaser only. Warranty is not transferable. For parts found to have manufacturing defects less than 7 days from invoice date, we will replace them from our stock. Parts returned after this time are sent on your behalf at our cost to the distributor to replace or repair the hardware as they see fit. Warranty does not cover damage to goods caused by customers, or any consequential damage to other parts, or the loss of data. We do not send out replacements in advance of receiving the returned goods. One year Return-to-base parts warranty is provided from the date of invoice for most parts purchases - some parts, such as fans and MP3 players are covered for 6 months, and some are handled by only by the manufacturer - if a manufacturer offers more than 12months warranty, you must deal directly with them after the first 12 months has expired. Shipping to us is at the customer's expense - we provide return freight if the goods are faulty. Some categories of goods, which are subject to regular handling whilst in use, like mice, pads, wrist rests, and keyboards, are not included in our standard hardware warranty - if a product of this type arrives damaged or defective, you have 7 days to return it for a replacement. Otherwise, goods of this type returned outside this time will be referred to manufacturer/distributor for replacement/repair decisions. For manufacturer's warranty items, such as monitors, customers may need to return them to the manufacturer directly or handling charges may apply. We do NOT send out new parts in advance of receiving the previous parts back for examination. Should you require replacement goods prior to them being returned from the distributor, and the goods are a current product still listed on our site at the time they are returned, you can purchase replacement goods with the expectation that we will issue a refund for the listed price of the replacement goods you purchased at the time when the distributor has returned the goods to us. This option will give you a full refund of the list price in effect at the time the goods are returned, provided that the distributor gives us NEW goods - if the distributor repairs your goods or supplies us with a refurbished/used replacement product, a partial refund will be issued based on the Re-stocking Charge conditions listed below.
Goods Returned For Credit or Repair
You should contact us by e-mail if something is not working after you receive it. To start the Return Authorisation process, please contact us here. All goods to be returned, faulty or not, will require a Return Authorisation Number before they can be returned . This is as much for your benefit as it is for ours, since a review of goods returned recently as "faulty" revealed that most were incorrectly installed/configured, had driver/software compatibility issues, or conflicts with other hardware not disclosed to us, and most of these could have been resolved without returning them, and saving YOU the postage cost to us and back to you. Without a RA number, it is also difficult to identify who sent the goods, or why they were sent back. We do provide in-house servicing and troubleshooting for parts we have sold at $77.00 (inc GST) per hour including GST. Our parts prices, as invoiced to you, do NOT include the cost of servicing or solving compatibility issues with the parts we have sold to you. Goods returned without authorisation may not be accepted, or held aside pending the issue of a RA number. As more than 50% of all goods returned are found to be working OK, we are forced to charge a minimum of $33.00 inc GST for testing and returning non-faulty goods, so please be sure to test them yourself and explore all possibilities for configuration prior to contacting us. If the goods being returned are found to be damaged or modified in ways which could void manufacturer's warranty coverage, we may require you to pay the testing & return fee in advance. Testing and returning goods to manufacturer's agents takes time and labour on our part, as well as incurring shipping costs back and forth, and the $33.00 goes part-way to cover this, and we can't guarantee that the manufacturer's agent will still honour any warranty on damaged or modified goods. Goods returned within the warranty period that are not repairable or have been obsoleted will be replaced with a similar model or given a refund for their current market value, less our restocking charge as outlined below. If you change your mind after purchase, find the goods are incompatible with your equipment, or can't get them to work, you may return unused goods (except software) for a refund of the website-listed product cost (excluding shipping charges) within 7 days. Please note that due to the nature of the computer industry, prices on many components are always falling, and if a product's price has changed significantly since you decided to return it, any refund calculation made will be at the list price on the day it is received by us, less restocking charges as outlined below. We know that you will understand that we can only honour this if the product is returned within this time, unused, in it's original packaging, and unopened if sealed by the manufacturer.
Re-Stocking Charge
When items are returned after 7 days, are returned in a used condition, or if faulty items that have had use are returned some time after purchase in a non-resalable condition, we may have to sell them as used or below our cost. Computer components are especially prone to depreciation due to the rapid pace of new hardware being released, and tend to lose value fairly quickly. If these costs are not paid by those who returned them, they would have to be "shared" by others, which is not fair to all. Used, opened, damaged goods, or goods ordered in specially for you will only be refunded at our discretion, and a restocking charge (minimum 15%) may apply. We define "Used" to include components that have been even briefly screwed into cases, such as motherboards & expansion cards. Restocking charges are catered for under ACCC guidelines for refunds of goods under warranty claims - specifically the ACCC quotes as follows on their site: "If the goods being returned have had a fair amount of use then you may be entitled to a partial refund only or to repair the product instead". Based on this, and given the depreciation of computer goods mentioned above, any goods returned more than 1 month after purchase will have a minimum of 25% restocking fee, goods returned more than 3 months after purchase will have a minimum of 50% restocking fee, goods returned more than 6 months after purchase will have a minimum of 70% restocking fee, and no refunds will be entertained after 12 months.
