AusPCMarket is rolling out a new site with a focus on improving the customer experience. We've kept the best parts of the existing design, and added the following new features:

• Three different layout styles that are automatically selected for narrow, wide and super wide screen resolutions.
• Recently-added, New Products, and Special list bars include picture thumbnails to help identify them. Plus much better RSS feeds for each.
• Also have added the most recent news item, so you no longer have to squint at a tiny news box.

• No more frames! (YAY!) - We've also switched over to a left hand navigation after much angst and heart-ache. The new design is much neater and also works much better on lower resolution devices (eg. iPhone and iPads etc).
• Info and help are now split into a number of shorter pages for better readability.
• URLs are now clean, so you no longer need to munge our URL into web forums like had to.
• Search engine is updated real-time and returns a page just like the usual list pages, complete with categories, price, and stock status. Plus any categories that might match your query too!

• Now you can sort products based on price, stock availability and name by clicking the arrow at the top of each column.
• Products are generally sorted by their size by default (No more hunting through the previously bizarrely sort hard disk drives!)
• You can turn list page images off if you want to speed up the already-fast the page load times, or are using a small screen device like a phone
• Our CSS should render the pages better on smaller screens as we've tried to maintain 100% validated HTML 4.01 pages.
• We've also increased the size (and hopefully) the quality of the products images. There are some that still need work, but most are a lot better!

• New content engine lets us give much better control of text and images, for more details per product, and will let us do more cool stuff, like embedded Youtube videos in the future.
• Combo products have thumbnail pictures and individual stock statuses for their Included Products.
• Images now list alongside the text, so text can flow around them, making better use of space.
• Product pictures have a nicer-looking pop-up and title scheme that doesn't upset pop-up blockers but still allows direct loading into a new window without stupid Javascript URLs spoiling your day.
• Stock status for us and at our supplier are displayed independently.
• RSS feed per product is available to let you know when product info gets updated.
• More details about how AusPC works are available on each product page, instead of buried in About Us.

• You can save a cart here for later, print it out/download a PDF. It will also now warn you when parts are no longer available and remove them from your cart automatically.
• Your cart can now be exported as plain text, whirlcode, or BBcode, so you can paste it into popular forums.

• We've simplified checkout by adding a few new pages that reduce the need to scroll
• A progress bar will show you how far you need to go in the checkout
• SMS telling you when your order is shipped is available when you enter a mobile number
• Assemble/not assembled selection is more obvious

• Member Freebies and Specials have thumbnails to help identify them
• You can still edit all the details of orders that are placed, pending, and back-ordered.
• Buttons are more obvious and their function more described and designed.
